Wonderful staff. Friendly and informative, care a lot for the animals and your needs and suitability for the pet you wish to adopt. Offer good advice and support. Clean and tidy and well looked after animals. Would recommend before any other rehoming centre. We were welcomed and encouraged to visit and spend time with our kitten for the week before we took her home and were not rushed or pressured into anything.

I have adopted four dogs over many years from this centre, one a puppy who was born there after her mother was handed in. The care was first class, the dogs get regular exercise and play throughout the day, the lonely ones are brought into Reception to spend time with the staff, the whole place is spotless and mess free and the follow up care post adoption is first class. The staff and volunteers work hard to ensure that the animal's stay with them is a warm and safe one. This is one of the best adoption centres I've ever been to, hence my four dogs coming from here. I would highly recommend this centre to anyone. The fact that I'm still seeing the same staff when I go to adopt another dog after many years is testament to a well run, friendly, professional centre.

Having had two previous dogs from the Blue Cross whilst a volunteer there some years ago, I knew they were a rescue charity I could trust. They sat and went through the details of each dog we were interested in and answered questions and gave advice. Spoiled for choice. Extremely helpful. They also ensured we were suitable owners for the dogs, which is the most important thing. We are very very happy with our new dog and he appears very happy with us! Adoption: 2012

Blue Cross Bromsgrove were very kind and helpful to my needs but more importantly of my cat and which animal would suit my lifestyle to the best advantage to the animal so we did not have issues further down the line.
I visited the centre on 3 seperate occasions to ensure I was sure of my cat and he was sure of me before we went home together.
What could of been an emotional experience was dealt with professionally so I feel that both my cat and I have succeed in this process.
I thank the Staff at Bromsgrove immensly and send them regular photographs of his development of which they reply and genuinely seem interested. Adoption: 2012

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It was nice to be able to walk around the kennels to view the animals available to be adopted.
I was worried that nervous dogs may not like the environment, but they were able to withdraw away from the viewing area if they wanted to.
Some of the dogs did not have information on the kennel, but the volunteers knew each animals details when asked. Adoption: 2012

Went to Blue Cross looking for a small dog to join our family. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and offered to view all the animals at our leisure. We chose a dog (or he chose us) and we were able to walk him within the grounds and spend some time with him. This we found to be helpful. After further visits to make sure we were certain of our comittment, we bought our dog home. He has been the best thing we have done in long while. A great addition to our family. Adoption: 2011

All the staff and volunters we met were very helpful and knowledgable about all the animals we enquired about. They gave us as much detail as possible about the dogs and as Skippy, the dog we now have was a stray, they had very little information but were still very helpful and gave us suport. The staff knew all the animals and were excellent with the dogs we saw them handling. We are unable to pick out anyone in particular as all the staff were so good and helpful. We have already recommended the Blue Cross to friends who are also looking for a new dog. Adoption: 2011

We adopted Romeo from the Blue Cross in Bromsgrove, at first we were given the worst case scenario due to romeo's past however, upon the first visit with romeo we were introduced to the dog by the staff who then gave us advice on how to treat him and gain his trust.
We found their advice invaluable and are still continuing to get support from them in the form of free dog training which is due to take place this coming december. Adoption: 2011

We visited this centre twice before but non of the dogs they had were really suitable for us as we already have cats.
We then recieved a call from the centre to say that a dog had come in and they had instantly thought of us because she had lived with cats before. They put a reserve on her and went in first thing next morning to meet her. She was perfect!
We were fully interviewed, allowed to bring in my parents dog to meet her to check they got on, encouraged to spend as much time with her as possible and given full information on her background, the details the previous owners had given and on what had been observed of her while in kennels.
No home visit was done (we did have the cats from the same centre previously and so were on their system) but we were questioned about the house and asked to provide photographs and a vet reference.
We were advised that we would be able to pick Molly up the day after she had been spayed, subject to her being well enough.
When we picked her up we were again given a thorough interview and a months supply of the dog food they had been feeding her on. We were also given a printout of her full medical beckground and advised of the dates for booster vaccinations, worming and flea treatments. We had our own collar, lead and harness ready for her and were also given a dog tag for her with her microchip number on. If you needed a collar, lead and harness these were available to buy at reasonable prices.
The donation was £90 but this included her being spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and a month of pet insurance so I think this was a bargain.
Finally we were offered free obedience classes for her which we immediately put her name down for. The first class was two weeks later and we were advised when to attend. We were also given a full information pack with details of how to contact their dog behaviourist if we need to, various discount coupons and information leaflets.
In summary I couldn't fault the procedure at all. Adoption: 2011

The staff were great the animals were great and everyone was very patient with us. The centre spent time getting to know what our needs were and they were more friendly and interesting in talking to us then other rescue centres we have been to. We were told if we have any issues or problems then they were here to help us.

Staff were as helpful as they could possibly be, including after and subsequent visits to them for further supplies. Our 4 new pets were all well looked after as far as we could see each time we went to visit. The website is updated regularly when you send them photographs and feedback so that others can get a clear picture of the work they do. Adoption: 2011

We are on our third adoption from bromsgrove blue cross, we have always found the process quick, easy and delivered by a very professional and friendly bunch of staff and volunteers. The advice we were given, as this was our first puppy, was excellent and although we didnt need it we knew that aftercare was there should we have encountered any problems. Adoption: 2010

I was very impressed with Bromsgrove Blue Cross. Staff were very friendly and attentive and I did not feel pressured or forced to adopt a pet. Whilst walking around the re-homing centre it was very clean and tidy and had quite a nice calm atmosphere. It was good to be able to meet all the dogs whilst walking round. The dogs we saw seem very happy and settled and it was nice to see that the nervous dogs were catered for. The staff were very informative and made the adoption process very enjoyable. So glad to have adopted from them and continue to recommend to family and friends!! Adoption: 2010
