Angela immediately put my mind at rest within seconds & explained exactly why our boy is behaving the way he is & we are now on track with retraining him & he's already responding positively..... we really do thank you for taking the time out to help us & are so so grateful lovely lady đ You & your team really do do the most amazing job with these beautiful boys & girls..... Friendly, approachable and very helpful staff.
All the team were highly professional and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.
We felt very confident and reassured by their expertise and invaluable advice.
The dogs welfare and happiness are truly at the heart of this rescue centre.
We thought it was wonderful how all the staff took so much time to find compatible homes for the dogs in their care.
Very clean and tidy with lots of space for the dogs to play and exercise.
A highly recommended centre.

We had owned a Rottie before and were looking for another one. The home visit was carried out first, enabling the home checker to ascertain what we were looking for in a dog and how the potential new dog would fit into our family. We already have a JRT so it was important that they get on too. When a suitable dog became available, which for us was within a week or two, we were sent photos and asked to come and meet her. After a successful meeting between us and the two dogs we were offered two weeks foster care before actual adoption, to ensure every thing was okay and the two dogs were happy living together. For us this was fantastic as our JRT is elderly and we needed to be very careful with potential matches. The rescue centre though had made a fabulous match though and we decided to give our lovely Rosie a permanent home. She is perfect for us, our lifestyle and our JRT. Angela the owner and Emma our homechecker are extremely knowledgeable and helpful and even after the adoption are happy to give any advise needed. This is a small rescue but I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We were looking for a Rottie to join our family, no easy task as we have very specific requirements due to our 8 year old Autistic son and our resident bulldog who had to approve of the new family member as well!! The owner of the rescue made sure she was aware of everything we needed and didn't just throw the first dog she could at us, we visited previously to meet another dog but with her vast experience of animals and especially canine behaviour The rescue owner explained why she wasn't comfortable with what she saw. We were then contacted about a possible match and duly visited Rottie Friends Rescue to see how we all got on with the potential new family member. The rescue owner told us everything she knew about the dog, and everything she had observed in the time she had spent with him. This time she was more comfortable with the match and here we are three weeks later with a beautiful Rottie that is a perfect match to everything we needed. He is so gentle and loving with our son and is best friends with our bully in such a short space of time. Rottie Friends Rescue is a faultless rescue, smaller in size than some but this enables the owner and the team to be more focussed on the individual dogs and their requirements to ensure they match perfectly to their new homes.

Before meeting Ivie we had a lot of questions and not at any point was I made to feel I couldn't ask anything. A very warm welcome on arrive and we was provided with all information we needed. Great facilities and an all round brilliant rescue. Even today Angela stays in contact to check up on Ivie and she shows genuine compassion and care for each individual. Home checkers are friendly and knowledgable and dogs are looked after as if they were in their own homes! I rescued very special pup who came fully innoculated with food toys and a coat. We had seen a potential dog on the rescue website and made contact to see if we could call round to view it .The rescue centre advised that before proceeding they would require an initial Home Visit to ensure that we were in a position to offer the dog the correct environment and that we as individuals were aware of the breed. After that when the centre was happy that we could offer the dog a good home we were given a specific timed appointment which meant that we knew we would receive individual attention when we arrived. We took along our German Shepherd to ensure that if adoption was to go ahead there would not be any issues between the 2 dogs. Angela who runs the centre was extremely helpful and clearly has a great love for Rotties. We collected our new boy "Murphy" a week later and are pleased to say he has settled in wonderfully. Angela has been in regular contact with us to follow the progress of the adoption and we would not hesitate to recommend anyone who is considering adopting a Rottie to check out their website confident in the knowledge that if there is a dog for them at this rescue it will all be handled in a very professional manner

A very professional and caring Rescue Centre. We have adopted Sheldon a 4 1/2 year old Rottweiler. He is a real sweetie and has adapted to life with us very well. He has become great friends with my 2 small terriers and it is a joy to share our lives with him. A professional and efficient home check was carried out prior to the adoption and then a supervised introduction of our dogs and Sheldon was arranged. Angela and her team are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming and ongoing support is always at hand. We would highly recommend this Rescue Centre.

They know the dogs very well and make sure you know as much about them as possible such as habits/ quirks aswell as their weaknesses making it much easier to settle them in the first few days in their new home.

My experience of Rottie friends rescue was nothing short of 100%.
Angela and her team put everything they've got into the care of every individual dog who comes into what is affectionately known as "Rottie Towers", they are a warm friendly and welcoming team who are very thorough regards home checks, matching the right dog for you and offer on-going support. They go above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of them all.
Their love of the breed shines through as soon as you enter the property the the dogs are wonderfully cared for and all their individual needs are met with love and kindness in what has become for many their safe haven.
I now share my home with a handsome senior chap named Padz, who's an absolute delight and I can't thank them enough.

An absolutely exceptional rescue, with total emphasis on matching the right dog to the right home - something they do very well. I was matched with Harvey, a young Rottie cross, and he has proved to be the perfect addition to our family.
In more general terms, Rottie Friends is a small rescue, which means that each and every dog gets as much care, exercise and training as they need, and the time and care is taken to properly assess the dogs so you know what to expect when you take your dog home. The kennels are clean and well-kept, as is the whole place in general, with lots of room for the dogs to exercise in a large field. The rescue owner is friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable, with a very obvious love for the breed and every dog in her care, both past and present. I would, without a moment's hesitation, recommend Rottie Friends to anyone.Review by: Chris Poole

I wanted to adopt a Rottweiler having had 3 previously and researched Rescue Centres. I chose Rottie Friends Rescue because they were relatively local but most importantly I liked the no-nonsense approach on their website. The website made it clear that the dogs welfare was more important than anything else and they were going to be highly selective in who they allowed to adopt the dogs - that passion for the breed is priceless.
In the initial contact via email I tried to provide them with clear details about myself and my experience with the breed. When they contacted me via phone it was like meeting a kindred soul we chatted enthusiastically about Rotties like two old friends.
I live on my own but I asked them to make sure that any potential dog was kid and small dog friendly as I frequently visit my sister's 4 kids and 2 cocker spaniel pups. Initially they had a gorgeous old boy allotted to me called Albert (a 7 year old). They kindly allowed myself and 4 members of my family to come and meet him. It was love at first sight. Unfortunately it was discovered that he had untreatable cancer - we were all devastated. The rescue centre kept me informed about his condition and sadly the decision had to be taken to allow him to go painlessly into an eternal sleep.
The house check was very thorough and friendly with two people checking my house was appropriate. Shortly afterwards a gorgeous 4 year old, Merlin, was brought to the centre and judged to be a good match for me.
The centre did really detailed checks to ensure we were a good match including:
- checking him with boisterous Cocker Spaniels
- checking him with children
- Micro chipping him
- Getting his vaccines up to date.
Then it was time for me to meet him and he hasn't left my side since. He's a gorgeous gentle lad and a perfect match - see my avatar photo.
The centre is an amazing facility comprising of fenced fields and lovely kennels. Angela the owner of the centre is a kind, supportive and knowledgeable behaviouralist and endlessly patient with my questions. She has offered to provide any ongoing support that I may need.
It's rare to find genuine, kind, decent people who care more for others than themselves. They go out of their way to make certain that they create a harmonious pairing that will be the forever partnership for both the dog and the persons sake.
If you are thinking of rescuing a Rottie, and you should as they are gorgeous dogs, I unreservedly recommend Rottie Friends Rescue - you get a dog and a community that supports and encourages you.

Thank you !!
But I have got to say how wonderful it is to have the support we feel we've got in rehoming a special boy like Fergus !
And to let you all know that we would be very happy to speak with anyone looking to rehome a dog from you to say how great everyone is! The availability to contact someone, at any time !, is amazing - for any query or reassurance - no matter how big or small !
The dog is not just dumped on you like you hear with some horror stories, they are extremely thorough, helpful & not at all patronising - all rescue's should be run and have a great team like Stuart & Anna!

My initial contact with the rescue was via email.
I was looking for a dog to work in the security industry.
Many rescues were not always to receptive of this .
Where Angela, puts the animal first and if there is a suitable animal for your needs will look at what both sides can offer each other.
Contact was always frequent and well received on both sides.
I was told that they had a rottie Mr Kaiser that had been re homed but was from what looks liked working lines , and had come back in to the rescue due to being a little to much for the previous adopters.
I could not get to see him for a couple of months due to commitments.
But was always kept up to date with how he was progressing and coming along via videos and emails.
I was checked out for suitability , before my meeting with Angela.
The day was arranged when I went to meet Mr Kaiser.
Once arriving there I was spoken to and asked what I knew about the breed, which I was expected to find out some information , to be able to understand the dogs needs that I was taking on.
After a short while I was introduced to Mr Kaiser , spent time to get to know him and vice versa.
I was never rushed , the most important thing is that we were right for each other.
I was informed should I need any advice or support then Angela and her rescue team were always available to give any advice needed..
They had helped train him towards what I was needing for his role in the future .
Nothing was a problem for them.
Angela is very dedicated and works tirelessly to rescue, as many as she can with a god team of supporters.
I cannot thank her enough for assisting me and Mr Kaiser in becoming a great team.

We re-homed a 12 month old bitch from Rottie Friends Rescue in May 2015. We were looking for a young, athletic Rottweiler bitch, who would potentially enjoy a very active, working lifestyle and RFR was recommended to us by many other people in the Rottweiler fraternity. After getting in contact with them, we were notified when Honey became available, as following an assessment of her they thought she would be very suited to our home. We were initially home-checked and then invited to the rescue to meet Honey along with our 2 Rottie boys. The rescue centre is a very quiet, spacious oasis, where the dogs can live in a safe and relaxed environment whilst they wait for their forever home to be found. The introductions went very well, and we took Honey on a 2 week foster period which I am happy to say became permanent! I can heartily recommend RFR as a very dedicated, genuine rescue. They really care about every dog that comes to them and they put great emphasis on an honest and complete assessment of their dogs when they arrive, trying to match the dog with the most suitable long-term home. The assessment we were given for Honey was invaluable in the first few weeks giving us some idea of what to expect in terms of her behaviour. Ongoing, they are always available for advice and support at any time which shows to me how committed this rescue is. RFR does sterling work for Rottweilers and if you are looking to rescue a dog from this wonderful breed then this centre will be well worth your time contacting.

We have adopted a lovely boy called OJ from Rottie Friends Rescue. I was told about his background and temperament when I enquired about him. We were supplied with regular updates whilst waiting for the home check to be completed. The home check was done by an experience rottie owner and in a very professional manner. We were encouraged to take our rottie bitch with us to meet OJ and this was done in a controlled environment. We took OJ home on a foster contract to make sure we and our other rottie were happy with him. The training done by the rescue staff has ensured that OJ walks well on the lead, is not food aggressive and is a real cuddle monster. We can't thank the team enough for the opportunity to give OJ a good home. We also know that if we have any questions that the team are there for advice and assistance.

The whole process of adoption was fully informative, friendly, and professional. Henry had a health issue after being neutered, and I was updated by them, and messages from Henry, and his visits to the 'pokey one' ( vet), sometimes several times a day, plus daily photos and videos. Angela arranged everything from the home visit, to transportation so things went smoothly and seamlessly. rottweilerfriends also matched the right dog to the right person, I absolutely adore him, and he has fit in with my other 2 dogs with no problems. I cant thank rottweilerfriends rescue, and all the team enough for their hard work, and love and care given to each and every one of their dogs. Special thanks to the volunteer, who met me after he had driven 2/3rds of the way, to hand Henry over to my care. All the team give so much, for so little in monetary terms, but have made a world of difference to the dogs they have rescued. If anyone out there wants to rescue a well trained, well rehabilitated and a well loved dog, rottweilerfriends rescue is the place to go!! :-) xxx

The experience of adopting a dog from Rottie Friends Rescue is exactly what you would hope for from a small dedicated and extremely caring team. The home check was respectful but thorough, the discussion about the right kind of dog and her behaviour was provided by Anna who had been fostering Ivy (our new dog). The advice was practical and objective including specific details on the type of training she had experienced while under her care. This extended to crate training which has really helped as we begin to integrate Ivy into our home.
We met Angela at the rescue centre by appointment. It was very straightforward to find with a minimum level of common sense required and the instructions provided. The introduction to our existing dog was structured in stages and handled with patience, offering the highest probability of success. Angela provided more advice during our visit and the whole team offered post adoption support for which we can't thank them enough.
Rottie Friends Rescue is a team passionate about giving Rottweilers a second chance. It's a no frills experience that is focused on making sure you the prospectove owner are right for one of the dogs in their care. The whole team are friendly, caring and completely dedicated. We can't thank them enough for rescuing Ivy and preparing her so well for joining our family.

They support you and advise throughout the whole time, from the first contact, the home visit, going to see the dog and then full support afterwards. The rescue is only funded by the support of the people who have adopted dogs. We would like to recommend one hundred per cent The Rottie Friends Rescue Centre, owned by Animal Behaviourist Angela in Taunton, Somerset. Anyone who is considering the adoption of a Rottweiler from Rescue, could not find anywhere better than Rottie Friends Rescue.
Angela and her Team of volunteers at R F R have made remarkable achievements with great dedication, expertise and total commitment. From our first contact we were impressed by the genuine affection and knowledge Angela has for this breed. We were kept updated with photos and information and all our questions were answered in detail. As a result, we now have the pleasure of owning the most beautiful, sweet natured Rottweiler bitch that you could ever wish for. Many thanks for our very special girl "Kira", who is now our much loved pride and joy. The successful re-homing of so many Rotties is due to Angela`s ability to select the most suitable dog for the prospective new owner, which has resulted in many happy and contented Rottweilers finding their "forever" homes.

wow I can not say I have experienced a rescue centre or breeder who really does do everything in their power to check a potential owner is right for a dog, I feel honoured to have got through the screening process. I feel the puppies could not have had a better start in life and other dogs in Angela and team have really been assessed and re- trained if needed. I love the pictures and daily updates that Angela and Soul post to Facebook, they are very informative and amusing but show a genuine understanding and real care for all the Rotties and Rotties crosses lucky enough to cared for and given a second chance. We need more places like this. I travelled from North West Wales for my Puppy Dexter as I knew he would be the best rescue dog from me, he came Micro chipped, first vaccine given, a puppy information pack, collar trained, crate trained with a toy and blanket smelling of his mum, what more can you ask for?! This rescue centre for rotties in Taunton is an amazing place it is run by an incredible lady and her husband and some wonderful volunteers. This lady has a wealth of knowledge regarding this breed and is very helpful with advice and support in any matter. My dog was matched to our family very well and it wasn't the first dog we saw as time was taken to make sure the match would work.
The dogs at rottie friends rescue seem to settle so well and are given top class care, attention, training and time, despite difficulties they may have had sometimes due to their histories.
I would recommend without a doubt if you're looking for a rottie to rescue this is the place to go.please have a look it's amazing.
I just want to say thank you.Review by: Ruby

Really couldn't recommend Rottie Friends Rescue enough, such a hard working professional team that devote so much to all the Rotties there. I still have complete support from the team after I have adopted Bonnie which is very much appreciated and helpful. We were also given a puppy pack for Bonnie with lots of advice and details of Bonnies vaccinations and Micro chipping. You can see how much the team care for every single Dog that comes into the Rescue Centre which is lovely to see and be a part of.

Very helpful team. Met with our dog over a few weeks to walk and socialise them before living together, as a consequence they are the best of friends and have lived happily together since day one! Also had a lot of advice and support as our dog had a very difficult start to life...

Absolutely amazing rescue. The dogs come first and this rescue goes above and beyond to make sure the correct dog is matched to the correct human. Always on hand for advice. The animals in their care are so lucky to have so much love, time and care put into them. If only all rescues were like this. Animal welfare is top priority and they do an incredible job. Five gold stars.

The fact that I adopted one of Angela's rescue Rotties less than a week (4 days in fact) into our two week foster period instantly shows you that Angela listened to my every word in what I was hoping and looking for in rescuing one of her dogs for my three year old son and I. Kizer is everything and more that I was hoping for, I put all my trust in Angela bringing home a four year old rescue male Rottweiler to live with my young son and I, she didnt let me down and I never once felt that I was on my own and had the most experienced owners of this breed on hand to help me in an instant, Kizer was even brought to me by two of Angela's Rottie Rescue Volunteers, who are owners of the breed, they arrived with their two boys who also fell for Kizer's super friendly huggy bear charm, again this was so reassuring to see and left me with a great stress of relief and inner strength. Kizer is one in a million, Luke and i adore him and he clearly adores us, especially my little boy, he never leaves his side, I am still pinching myself that we have this truly amazing and wonderful dog and have everything to thank Rottie Friends Rescue in Somerset for and more. Kizer is my first Rottie and will most definitely not be my last, but I vouch here and now that I will always seek Angela Curtis's prior approval in choosing our next, if not another one of her loyal and loveable rescues. Thank you, thank you. Jane, Luke and Kizer Hambling.

I would highly recommend Rottweiler Friends near Taunton to anyone looking for a rescue Rottweiler. The team of volunteers led by Angela provided an excellent personal service.
Angelaâs knowledge of the breed and the dogs in her care enables her to match dogs to suitable perspective owners.
We were able to meet Hazel in a lovely relaxed manner in a field and get to know her a little with out the constraints of cage and concrete and were encouraged to go home and think about her over night before making a decision.

Rottie friends rescue is an amazing rescue centre we adopted a rottie x mastiff and were.amazed hoe much effort was put into training and looking after her and all the dogs that angela takes into her rescue, the rescue centre is run very efficiently and all volunteers that work for rottie friends are absolutely amazing. Myself and my partner went onto foster another rottie called buddy but ended up keeping him permanently becoming huge foster failures haha but the best thing we ever did was contact rottie friends rescue, they also offer life time support which has been extremely. Help full for myself and family. I highly recommend. Rottie friends rescue :-)

The staff at Rottie Friends Rescue are great, very friendly and welcoming & extremely knowledgeable. I recently got my little man Buddy from them. He is a Rottie cross 2yr old, very bouncy, extremely friendly, and makes me smile everyday with his antics :-) They had done all the usual rescuey things like worming, vet check, neutering, de flea'ing. All potential homes are checked and they prefer to match the right dog to your circumstances.
What makes the rescue stand out in my eyes is that it is run by a lady who has over 25yrs experience with the breed and who also does training and behavioural work with the dogs.
They are willing to go the extra mile with difficult dogs. They currently have a deaf dog who was aggressive when they got him, but after finding out he was deaf with severe infections in his ears, she has now taught him sign language and he is much happier & they do a 'soul' update on facebook, each week, which is written as if he is saying it and the world from his perspective, Very funny and sweet!
They offer full after adoption care & are always only a phone call away. The rescue is small, only been running for a couple years & funded purely by donations and fund raising.
I think this rescue will be the only one I adopt from in the future.Review by: Rottador1

Would like to thank Rotties Friends for the wonderful job they do looking after the rotties. They lstened to our needs and introduced us to 2 wonderful dogs, who have enriched our family home. They are a phone call away if help is needed. The dogs have been been checked by a vet and had all vacucations. The dogs have now settled in well and would not be without them. I can not recommend this rescue enough, rotties have alot of bad press but all I can is that these beautiful dogs are fun loving animals. Adoption: October 2013

The rescue was excellent. They were honest and very helpful. I felt if we were not suited to the dog, they would not let him go to us. Even now they still give us advice. I can't say enough about them. They came recommended by a friend and we have already told other people to contact this rescue with a view to adoption. Adoption: October 2013

Originally only fostering Connor, to continue his rehabilitation until his forever home was found, he came to me mid february and 3 months later i adopted him. Right from the very first phone call (within hours of my first contact about fostering him) through to today, i hav been given 100% support, wenever and however needed, from initial hands on, in-depth Connor-specific training, to advice over the phone wenever this new mum has had a worry wobble, Rottie Friends Rescue have always been there. Connor, because of them doing it right, has become the dog he was born to be, without their knowledge and help his situation couldve been dire. Couldnt recommend them any more highly. Rottie Friends Rescue all the way....!! :-)

We try and adopt the older dogs and or those who have needed a new home the longest. Four months on and we are so pleased to have adopted our new family member, although itâs not been straight forward! Our new boy has some âinterestingâ behaviour which has earned him the nick name of the âSnap Dragonâ. We believe this is as a result of his previous home and some bad habits as he is actually a very loving boy. The knowledge, help and ongoing support from R.F.R has been outstanding and we have never felt alone during all this time. We now feel tremendously rewarded in give a beautiful dog a âforeverâ home who so richly deserved one; where, maybe perhaps if he had ended up at another rescue centre without the breed specific knowledge things may have been so different for him.

After fostering Roxi the Rotti for 3 weeks we are now the proud owners of her.
Prior to fostering her, we had a chat with Angela, followed by a home visit and then an intro with our staffie to Roxi to see how the first meeting would turn out.
Everything was explained fully and the whole process ran so smoothly with the whole attention being focused on the dog to make sure she would be ok. It is so easy to see why Angela and workers do so well with the dogs as they fully understand how each dog can differ with different homes and their knowledge is so valuable that you just can not afford to ignore this.
Thank you so much for Roxi and will keep sending the photos to everyone,
Keep up the fantastic work you guys do. Excellent Service & Knowledge.
Kind regards. Adoption: Feb 2013

We had a very positive experience with Rottie Friends Rescue. From first contact to our home check was 1 day. From the home check to adopting Marley was approximately 2 weeks. We were very lucky and know that Angela who runs the rescue is only a phonecall away if we need any advice or help. We would highly recommend this rescue, so much so we are now thinking about adopting another Rottie through Angela. Marley is a very welcome and loved part of our family. Angela was great from the moment we arrived, very help full and answered any questions that i had. The first dog we tried to pair mine with was a no go. Rex was having none ,angela was very patient but in the end it was a no no, she asked if i would like to try rex with a younger dog and thats how i got the perfect dog for rex and myself. As soon as rex saw bell it was almost love at first sight, they were running around the paddock together after 5mins and we have never looked back, everybody we meet out walking thinks they have been together for ages, she is so well behaved when she meets other people and dogs and its all down to angela thought she would have you believe other wise. A very big thanks from rex and bella. Adoption: Dec 2012

We had to re-home our dog Zak, due to unforeseen family bereavement and personal reasons. I had met Angela last year and knew she would be the ideal person to help.
After a few e-mails she had already found a suitable family for our big strong Rottie. A volunteer call Stuart came to see our dog at home and spent 2 hrs with him and their dog Angus. Everyone got along and Zak passed his assessement with flying colours. A week later Zak was in his new home. We have had constant feedback since, informing us of his welfare and well being. Angela and her team do brilliant work. I would recommend this TRUST to anyone.. Our minds are totally at ease. Relinquishment: 2012 -

Expert Knowledge and understanding of the breed,
From the first phone call we were confident we had made the right choice with Rottie Friends Rescue.
From our first home visit to asses our needs to find another pack member was not rushed and we was given lots of advise in preparation of what to expect,
Rottie Friends Rescue explained that with the breed it was finding the right dog for us and would (and has been) worth the small wait for the right new member..
Nothing is never to much trouble from training tips to behavour advise even on a daily basis if needed.
If you are looking for a Rescue Thats is 100% committed then look no further not only have we been lucky enough to been allowed to adopt from Rottie Friends Rescue we have been lucky to have found a friend of the breed for life..
Thank you & recommend A++++++. Adoption: 2012

I didn't actually adopt a dog, it was the other way round, infact (Rottie Friends) helped me find a home for my Rottie. As soon as I spoke to her on the phone I was 100% confident that they would help me find me a good home for Buddy, my rottweiler. And she did.
The dedication and love that she has for these animals is amazing and I have the upmost respect for her. She devotes her life to these dogs and nothing is too much trouble.
I would like to say a hige thank you to her. I was absolutely dreading having to rehome my baby and she made tge process as pain free as possible and Bud is now living with a new family and is very very happy.
THANK YOU xx. 2012 NOTE: The comments given relate to a relinquishment and not an adoption. Rescue Review hopes to develop a review questionnaire for relinquishment experiences in the near future.

We recently adopted our Rottie cross pup from here and couldnt want for a better experience. The mother of the pups and the pups were rescued from a horrid sitiuation, and they brought the dogs back to great health and excellent condition. With attention to detail, lots of before and after care if needed, I am reassured I can always reach them by phone if I have any worries. I would recommend this rescue for anyone wanting a Rottie in their life, as they know the breed, and their love and care for the Rottweiler is showing with every thing they do. Adoption: 2012

I picked up my little Roxy Rottweiler cross on 7th July she is a beautiful little baby that had come with a horrid story. We were given the history and advised if we need anything they are always at the end of the phone. We got our dog, Ruby, through Rottie Friends Rescue, and are delighted. She is a great match for us and our Labrador.
The lady couldnât have been more helpful, checking out whether two dogs we were interested in would be suitable to our situation, which includes horses, stock on the moor and free range chickens. She even brought Ruby to us for a first-hand check on everything. After our month-long experiences looking for a companion for our Labrador, meeting Rottie Friends was a breath of fresh air and her on-going interest in Rubyâs welfare and training is now taken for granted ; our only sadness that we couldnât find a home for more than Ruby! Very happy dogâŠvery happy owner!Adoption: 2012 -

I discovered this rescue whilst networking shelter dogs on Facebook and when I called to enquire about one of the dogs I'd seen, the lady who runs the rescue answered all of my questions and asked a lot of her own too. What I really liked liked was the attention to detail, the training and socialization as well as the caring, love and warmth they put into each individual dog (and their specific needs) to get them the best home possible.
After the adoption process they have been fantastic and I have always felt that they are at the end of the phone for any help (whether it be - behaviour, training related or just a general chat about Rottweilers and their specific traits). I wouldn't hesitate to adopt from them again or encourage my friends to do so. Adoption: 2011 -

Im not sure there are enough words to describe everything Rottie Friends Rescue has done for us. The lady in charge chose the perfect dog to suit our family needs. And almost a year after we had her here with us, she had to have a cruciate repair. This ended up with a lot of complications for our Rottweiler. We had to see a specialist an hour away from where we live. I dont drive but Rottie Friends made sure we had transport and stayed with us the entire day while our dog had surgery. They are amazing, I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the care both before and after you adopt from them. It was so lovely and very refreshing to meet people who really do put the welfare of the dogs first. Out standing rescue. Clear breed experience, healthy dogs, great on going support. All of the dogs seemed happy and very well loved and cared for. Absolutely Wonderful. Adoption: 2011
