From the very start of my enquiry I was kept in communication and my circumstances were matched to the best dog for me and the dog concerned. Efficient and supportive is the best description I can give, not just before the adoption but also after. Their kindness and dedication for the animals is very apparant with the way in which they conduct their organisation. Absolutely brilliant, I would adopt from Dogwatch again without hesitation. My wife and i had been looking for a while to get another rescue dog after losing our first dog took us some time before we were ready to have another dog found Dogwatch UK on the internet. We contacted them said we were interested in one of two dogs both staffys filled online form in couple of days later had home check. This was done very efficiently the man new how my wife felt about replacing our last dog and gave plenty of advice. Few days later went to view biannca and jeannie fell in love with both of them but jeannie walked on the lead a lot better, jeannie was in a home being fostered. My wife walked her with one of the dogwatch uk volunteers she asked many questions which i can understand has they want to make sure we can look after jeannie and she is going to a good home. After filling adoption form jeannie came home with us, dogwatch uk have always been in contact with us through the process and after getting jeannie to make sure she is settling in. Would highly recommed using dogwatch uk if you are thinking of getting a rescue dog. Adoption: 2012

Dog Watch were amazing! They really care about all dogs and it shows in the way they organise their adoptions. We love Maggie to bits and wouldn't be without her! We had visited a local rescue centre who was packed with dogs and explained that we offered a home with another dog, minimum 3 walks a day, and someone home the majority of the time. The centre contacted us and didn't even bother with a home check as we were a young couple and responded that we "may one day have children". Apparently this made us unsuitable second dog owners. In contrast Dog Watch recognised that we were good owners, had done well with our original rescue dog, and saw the benefit of our current dog having a companion. They sent a home checker round to the house and they seemed incredibly happy with our circumstances and instantly recommended us as suitable re homers.
It's such a shame that some charities are so very small minded about who they are prepared to re home a dog to. Adoption: 2010

In Novemeber 2011 my partner and I were put in contact with DogwatchUK through a friend of ours as we were looking at rehoming a rescue dog.
I phoned up and gave details about were i lived, our existing dog etc. That day i was called back and a date and time was organised which suited me for the home check.
My home check was successful and i was talked through what would happen next. After various emails and telephone conversations we decided we would like to rehome Talia, a beautiful white and black staffy. She was most suited to us and got on well with other dogs. Although she had no background information.
DogwatchUK had Talia transported over from Blackpool ( were she was due to be PTS that week) to the West midlands were they had boarding. Talia had not been spade and was in heat and although our dog had been neutered, the last thing we wanted was to have her come to a new home and be pesterd by him.
DogwatchUK agreed to look after Talia at there boarding kennels and also arranged for her to be spade in the upcoming months. During this time we were allowed to visit Taila throughout the week and take her for walks. Just in time for Christmas we got Talia home and both dogs soon made freinds. As proposed Talia was spayed in the February and all went well.
At current both dogs are well Talia is now Roxie, and she is a wonderfull, a big cuddle monster. I update DogwatchUK with emails & pictures of both dogs.
Overall, Given my experience I would recommend Dogwatch UK to anyone willing to give a dog a second chance in a loving home. Adoption: 2011

Initially fostered Bella but fell in love with her, Dogwatch were supportive and helpful from start to finish. Dogwatch provided continuous support whilst I fostered Bella, giving me plenty of advice and support. I took her for her vaccinations and I was told once she had her first season she could be spayed. Adoption: 2011

I went to Dogwatch UK to be a fosterer. Olly was rescued from Birmingham Dogs home and was rather skinny. He stayed with me for a few months and I fell in love with him and kept him. The staff have a great deal of expertise and are very supportive. I have had him 2 years now. Adoption: 2010

I rescued Murphy (GSDxRough Collie) at 12 months old in Sept 2009 and Yiannis (GSD) and 3 months old in Feb 2009.
Everything abotu the rescue was amazing. Yiannis was still at Birmngham Dogs' Home but was due to be PTS so I went to pick him up from there as the rescue staff themselves couldn't get to him in time.
They always give a full history on their dogs (unless picked up as a stray), have a no kill policy and have many dogs in fosterers homes.
Some dogs go into kennels but when a foster place becomes available, the dogs already spending the longest times in the kennels get the spaces.
My rescue dogs have had a few issues. Murphy is fear aggressive and Yiannis can get a bit snappy with other smaller dogs. They are both much bteter now and the back up and support I received from the rescue for helping me was and still is second to none.
They dind't just have the attitude that it was my dog now so it was my problem.
Before I took on my first rescue, the interview lasted 2 hours, the homecheck was about an hour and asked all sorts of questions that I thought quite personal, but I understand now why they had to ask.
I would certainly recommnd this rescue because it's as though the dogs belong to the staff themselves and they very clearly want the very best for their dogs. If I could win the lottery, I'd hand it all over to the rescue so they can continune their good work and help dogs.
All of the staff are volunteers so although people pay a donation of £125-£145 for a dog, it all goes into rescuing the next dog. Adoption: 2009
