The care a thoughtfulness is second to none. From the first volunteer who we met and did our house inspection, to all the contact, check ups and material made us feel very supported. We were never put under pressure and knew if their was a problem with our rescue dog we could call at any time. Knowing they are with us for the life span our new rescue is also reassuring. They really do care and so glad many bulldogs can be rescued and giving new homes.

We could not be happier with the experience we had when adopting from Bulldog Rescue. All the volunteers were so lovely and super helpful. The fact that they have their own in house created owners guide is fantastic and has been so useful in the time after we adopted Reggie, as has the Facebook group. My partner and I have already discussed that going forward we would only ever adopt from Bulldog Rescue as the interim care they provide to the dogs is second to none and they really are in it for the good of the dogs. We really could not recommend this rescue highly enough.

Tania and Sue made us feel so welcome on our arrival and no matter what questions we asked it was never made to feel a problem no matter how silly they seemed. The checks that Lana carried out reassured us that they really do have the dogs best interests at heart and the fact that this is a non profit organisation and the effort and love they have for all the dogs it is truly remarkable. We cant thank the team enough for giving us a fantastic Bulldog and would recommend anyone looking to rescue one to use follow and support these guys!!!

I cannot fault the service both we, and the animals have been offered. Exceptionally well cared for animals by people who truly go the extra mile to achieve the perfect match and forever home. It is hard to adopt a bulldog and can be disappointing when there are so many people trying to adopt but Tanya and her team manage expectations and handle the entire process very professionally. Excellent charity and I would highly recommend them.

After having a bulldog as a child I always wanted one as an Adult. After registering with the website in February, the process started. Lots of in-depth questions and they advised the more truthful with my answers the more accurately they could place the right bulldog with the right owner - ie. Age of children at home, knowledge of bulldogs, first bulldog or previous experience etc. I was registered and started applying for suitable bulldogs and they recommended our gorgeous Lulu, suitable for a first time owner, suitable with young children but only visiting. we had a home visit and she was delivered the following week by their volunteers. All were superb, friendly gave lots of advice and have made us feel so welcome into the Bulldog rescue and rehoming family. A yearly bar-b-q. on the end of the phone for the life of our time with Lulu. and a facebook site that I get to share her life and other members every day - this is invaluable. THANK YOU BDR and I would recommend you to anyone. Love our Lulu. (she has been with us 6 weeks and they matched us with the perfect match) x

I joined Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming Trust in August 2015, with a view to give a rescue bulldog a new lease of life, I had grew up with a Bulldog but had not been around one for a good few years, so essentially I was sort of a first time owner. After much research into the charity and the wealth of information on their website I came across Bella, now my beautiful Bulldog. I applied for Bella and although it did take a few weeks to hear anything (no fault of their own, Bella's foster mum was away) they dealt with any enquiries I had efficiently and effectively. They always kept me updated on any concerns I had and I always felt supported by the charity.
My home check was carried out by an extremely friendly member of staff who checked our house was suitable and answered any questions we had, the volunteers also carry identification for the avoidance of any doubt. Upon passing, we was referred to the fosterer and arranged a day to go visit and collect Bella, the volunteers and the overall management and flow of the charity is excellent. The charity is also on hand for lifetime support for your bulldog and also offers its rescuers an online forum which can be very useful for any questions you may have (however stupid they may sound).
Bella has now been with us for 1 week. Considering I joined the charity in august and at the time of writing this it is September, I think the proof is in the pudding in terms of how effectively they deal with situations and are driven to find Bulldogs there forever homes. I would also highly recommend The Bulldog Bible by Tania Holmes whether you are rescuing or not as it is exactly what it says, and is highly educational and answers absolutely any questions you might have to do with Bulldogs (even things you didn't even know you wanted to ask).
Overall a outstanding charity and a credit to society, they have made our house a home and we cannot thank you guys enough! You have our lifetime support as we already know we have yours.Review by: MGalloway

My current rescue is my 3rd Bulldog since 1993 adopted from Bulldog Rescue & Re-Homing, & I can not recommend them enough, any time I have concerns I either phone, message or email & they reply instantly, they give full details about their dogs up for adoption, & I know that they had to spend 2.5 years to bring my baby back to health, I would say I'm very lucky to have adopted all three gorgeous Bulldogs, but there's no luck in it, the care they show to these dogs is second to none, & they ensure you are well informed on the dog you are hoping to adopt, & most importantly that you & your home are suitable to adopt a Bulldog. I am always telling people about the rescue & encouraging them to adopt, as I think they are the best rescue out there!. Finally I am Disabled & Bulldog Rescue & re-homing always ensure myself & my dog's are/have been well matched

I cannot praise this wonderful charity enough. We have just been fortunate to adopt our second fur baby from Bulldog rescue. On both occasions the whole process has been very thorough to ensure that the right dog has been matched with the right owners. The information given on the dog from the relevant volunteer has always been very helpful in understanding your bullies immediate needs when joining their new forever home, to ensure that both bully and owner have the best start together. Once you have your new family addition the communication, support and just general updates continues. To anyone considering a rescue dog as long as you can offer a loving forever home you will be greatly rewarded with the most amazing bond!.....go for it and good luck with your search with BDR x

An easy process handled very professionally from the first point of contact to collecting our dog. Their rules regarding rehoming were very clear and easy to understand and every step was explained. Long term advice is always available via phone, email and social network site and there is the opportunity to speak with others who have rehomed a bulldog. Over all a very positive experience.

I have supported Bulldog Rescue and Rehoming for a few years and when I felt that I could get another dog I decided to adopt a rescue dog. The process was very straight forward, the dog I adopted was in a foster home so he was delivered to me after my home check. I've had a lot of support from BDR since and they have a wonderful Facebook page where I can get advice on my dog. They have offered me lifetime support and they really know and understand the breed. Its like a little family. Thank you BDR!

We adopted Winni just a few weeks ago now and she is absolutely fantastic .The rescue and the volunteers were fantastic and we are still in contact with Winni's foster mummy. The whole process was so well organised and I think it is fantastic that no dog just gets placed with just anyone, the process is all about the dog and their individual needs and not just because a person wants a bulldog. We have already said if we ever get another bulldog then bdr will be our first and only stop.Keep up the good work, you should be so proud of what you have achieved and still achieve. i recently adopted a 6 yr old bulldog from BDR, the whole process from start to finish was very, very well organised, and efficient.
every person involved in the adoption process is treated with respect, and kept fully informed of the process.
It is evident all volunteers love the breed, and are on hand with breed specific knowledge and advice.
Potential adopters are given full, frank and honest information of the dog, and each dog is matched to a family that can meet the needs of the dog.
dogs for rehoming are often fostered at home by volunteers, which enables them to give you an indication of the dogs behaviour and patterns in a home environemnt, as opposed to kennels.
there is no pressure involved, during any stage of the process, this approach ensures that the placement is sucessful.
We have had our new pack member for a few weeks now, and we are still in touch with the rescue for support and advice, and the rescue have given us the assurances we can stay in touch as long as needed.
i would have no hesitation to recommend this charity, and cant thank them enough for their hard work and dedication.
We are one happy family!! thank you BDR!!! Adoption: 2012 -

The staff and volunteers at Bulldog Rehoming & Rescue are passionate about the dogs whether they be poorly or just need a new home. They are non judgemental regardless of the situation the dogs are in and there prime objective is to get the dog or dogs out and well enough to have a new loving forever home. Adoption: 2012

We've had Gus a month now and were still in contact with the foster carers. They are still on hand for advise and they have a genuine interest in how he's getting on! He came to us in a great condition and was as described. We were encouraged to stay with the existing vet which we did and he knows the dog very well. Some more photos before we met him would have been nice but not essential. Adoption: 2012

When I read Bud's profile of how he suffered so terribly with his skin condition I just had to adopt him. His foster carer nursed him back to life again and I admire the time and care that she put in to save him. He is so confident now and so loving, such a beautiful dog. It's amazing how he still has faith in human kind. He is now so spoilt and he knows it. I'm so grateful his carer had faith in choosing me to be his new mum. Adoption: 2012

We have adopted 4 dogs from Bulldog rescue & Rehoming, they are amazing people who care deeply for the animals in their care. I wouldn't be able to praise them enough for what they do. If I have ever had a problem they have been there for me to help me through it and give me tips on how to resolve any doggy issues.
They are professional about what they do but they are so friendly so it makes you feel like you are an old friend picking up one of the dogs.
They can tell you everything that you need to know about the dog and if it has any ongoing issues they fill you in and tell you what to look for and how to treat it. Adoption: 2012

Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming have been excellent in every way!! thanks to them I was re-united with my little bulldog who I had to give up for adoption a couple of years ago due to the unfortunate circumstances. When he came up for adoption again and I was able to have him back and it was the best reunion in my life! I always regretted having to give him up, but thanks to Bulldog Rescue I got a second chance and it's now as if he'd never left me!! Bulldog Rescue acted very fast, professionally, made all the required arrangements and allowed the process to be as smooth and pain-free as possible for all parties involved - a real success story! Having been on both sides of the fence, both giving a bulldog up for adoption and adopting (the same one) back through Bulldog rescue, I can wholeheartedly recommend them! Adoption: 2012

From start to end the whole proceedure was professional with the welfare of Ted (the bulldog) as the most important consideration. It did take time from applying to hear but this is explained on the website. They do not just take the first applicant but wait to find the best home. Once we had been selected a home visit was arranged and the 2 foster parents came over to meet me, my family and my other 2 bulldogs. At that visit, which lasted about an hour I was told i had passed. Because we were close to Christmas they have a cut of date for collection as they will not allow a dog to go to a home in Christmas week. We drove to the foster home a few days later to check all the dogs got on. They did! Ted then came home with us. The foster family gave us all the info necessary and i know, had I been a first time owner they would have made sure I was happy before I drove home. The fosterers were amazing people who devote considerable time to the dogs they take on. Overall Bulldog Rescue is an excellent organization who take very seriously what they do. Adoption: 2011

i have rehomed two bulldogs from bulldog rescue and in each case the welfare of the dog has been paramount.
the people we met were very professional in their manner and in each case nothing was a trouble to them. you could see that they all loved bullies and only had their best interest at heart. the back up service is second to none and all information is there for the asking if you have a problem.a vets list is available for vets who also love bullies and have extensive knowledge of the breed.i ask you, where else would you want to go to rehome a bulldog but the dedicated breed kennels with all the knowledge required to rescue and rehome them. Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming is amazing. They provide a great service for bulldogs that need a safety net. Edward was one, a badly treated Bulldog who they rescued and nursed back to good health over 6 months.
What I particularly like is that you apply to adopt, but if they don’t feel you are the right person to adopt that dog you won’t get them! The bulldog is number one at all times.
The staff I met was extremely knowledgeable and totally loving to the bully’s in their care. In fact I think their lives have been taken over by the need of the bulldogs in their care!
Thank you Bulldog Rescue and Rehoming – I can’t even start to say how fab they are! Wouldn’t go anywhere else to rescue a dog.
Please make a donation to them or even better make some room for a lovely bulldog that needs a home. I did and still can’t find the words to thank them enough for letting me have Edward.
Bulldog Rescue & Rehome you are the best!

The team at Bulldog Rescue and rehoming are extremely supportive. I have re-homed three bulldogs from them, and even months after adoptions they have been there with advice, but most of all with support.
They understand the breed extremely well, and therefore understand the dogs needs in a home.
Every scrap of information about the animals is given and they even offer support with vet bills should that be necessary. Adoption: 2010 -
